Clean Out and Pass It On

The change of seasons often leads to cleaning out and clearing away items that we no longer use or need. Consider selling or giving these items away instead of throwing them away. Not only will it protect the environment, but it will help someone else, and may even put some money in your pocket in the process. Clothes, shoes, coats, etc. can be donated to clothes closets at local churches, for example. Old appliances, electronics, or equipment can be sold for cash, or taken to recycle centers. There is a useful place for just about everything that you might consider throwing away!
